A Speech-Language Pathologist provides a range of professional services aimed at assessing, treating, and preventing speech, language, voice, hearing, swallowing, and related communication disabilities. At Dynamic Speech & Language Therapy, we strive to create service delivery models that can accommodate a broad range of communication disabilities, while matching the needs of each client.
What is a “service delivery model”? A service delivery model is the system that is used to organize the treatment program. It includes the formats by which services are rendered, including where, when, and with whom services are provided. In the field of speech-language pathology, there are guidelines from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) which provide direction about clinical treatment activities within the different types of service delivery models. These guidelines establish professional practice parameters for ethical practice, specific speech-language-hearing disorders, and typical clinical activities.
Dynamic Speech & Language therapy offers the following service delivery models: comprehensive evaluations, group therapy and/or individual therapy, as well as provides indirect services where the SLP consults with their clients and their client’s caregivers/family members about specific communication needs. By offering a myriad of service delivery options, our practice can best match the personal interests and styles of our clients; thus, allowing our clients to engage in one of the most important human functions: communication.
