Dynamic Temporal Tactile Cueing (DTTC)/ReST

Dynamic Temporal Tactile Cueing (DTTC) is an evidence-based practice in the treatment of Apraxia of Speech. DTTC uses a motor-learning approach focused on supporting the motor planning and programming necessary to produce speech. DTTC has been shown to help individuals with moderate to severe Apraxia.

Christy has completed the Diagnosis and Management of Childhood Apraxia of Speech Using Dynamic Tactile and Temporal Cueing hosted by the University of Texas at Dallas Callier Center.

Rapid Syllable Transition Training (ReST) is an evidence-based practice in the treatment of Apraxia of Speech. ReST treatment has been developed through a series of research studies which have shown that, when delivered as it was designed, ReST treatment can improve the speech accuracy of children and young people with CAS.

Christy has completed the ReST Rapid Syllable Transition Training hosted by the University of Sydney in July of 2022.

Both these trainings have allowed Christy to become more confident in assessing and diagnosing Apraxia, as well as, allowing her to provide family education and implementation of evidence-based practices with her clients. Christy has experience working with both children and adults of varying severity levels with Apraxia of Speech.
