MY THERAPY APPROACH
Kristin is passionate about helping individuals of all ages achieve their communication goals. She values the essential role families and caregivers play in a client’s progress and believes therapy is most effective when caregivers are active, informed members of the team. Kristin collaborates closely with families to develop therapy plans that are functional, meaningful, motivating, and grounded in evidence-based practice.
Kristin recognizes that every client is unique and approaches therapy with curiosity and flexibility. As a lifelong learner, she believes there is always something new to be learned and discovered and is committed to continually expanding her knowledge and skills to best support her clients. Her background as a gymnastics coach and preschool teacher allows her to bring creativity, structure, and encouragement into her sessions, particularly when working with pediatric clients. She strives to create a positive, supportive environment that helps her clients feel confident and engaged as they work towards their goals.
PERSONAL
In her downtime, Kristin enjoys spending time with family and friends and going thrift shopping with her husband. She loves morning walks and soaking up the sunshine — limited as it may be — along with quieter moments spent reading a good book, listening to the rain fall, and enjoying soft tunes on her vinyl record player.
