MY THERAPY APPROACH
As a therapist, Christy recognizes just how powerful the family/caregiver relationship is in developing a thoughtful, meaningful, and functional therapy program. Parent’s and caregivers are valuable members of the team, as such, it is vital that they are included in therapy decisions. Christy’s intention is to support her clients, and their families/caregivers, by using sound, functional, motivating, and evidence-based treatments to support her clients with communication disorders.
Christy recognizes that everyone is unique. Her therapy approach is not a “one size fits all.” Christy learns about the whole client, their strengths, their challenges, and their interests and then uses this valuable information to develop a meaningful, motivating treatment plan. Please contact Christy today to see how she can assist you in the area of communication.
PERSONAL
In her downtime, Christy enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her 2-labrador retrievers, Hank & Hazel. She loves traveling to new places, exploring the Pacific NW via a good hike, and staying active. When she is home, she enjoys cooking, listening to music, completing a puzzle, listening to SLP podcasts, and reading an enjoyable book in front of the fire.
