MY THERAPY APPROACH
As a therapist, Alex enjoys getting to know the patient and creating an inclusive environment for the individual to express themselves. Recognizing the value of family and caregivers, she provides family and caregiver coaching and invites the support system to be part of the treatment process to encourage their loved one in sessions and outside of the therapy space. She incorporates the individual’s interests as much as possible into sessions to make learning and skill building more meaningful to the patient. Utilizing person-centered care, evidence-based approaches, professional experiences, patient perspectives, continued research, and collaboration with other professionals as appropriate, she aims to meet the needs of all her patients. Alex has received specialized training in PROMPT and is a Certified SPEAK OUT!® Provider.
